Making Baby Food

So, we made the choice to make baby food. At first it seemed a bit intimidating. Then, it seemed so easy. We are two working parents - and if we can find time to do it, I am sure you can, too. We aren't pros at this (yet) as we just started. But so far, so good.

We purchased the Magic Bullet. I asked several friends who make their baby food - they use the bullet. We were torn between the baby bullet and the regular one and the nutri bullet. We went regular. Use your Bed Bath & Beyond coupon. Boom.

We bought these storing ice cub trays. They are easy to clean and use. Once frozen, just pop your food out, put in a zip lock and label in your freezer. Then you have your tray ready to make more. Let your food freeze for a whole day if you can. That way for sure it's frozen. You can use your Buy Buy Baby coupon on this - saves some money.

We use these containers to put food in for daycare (even though we aren't ready for more meals than at night time yet). They can fit into a bottle warmer and don't take up much room in your fridge. Your frozen cubes can just go in one. Or you can use these to freeze your food, too.

We purchased this book to help with ideas on the food. Super great.

More to come on this. But, so far, super easy. We've made peas and carrots. Next up is butternut squash. And Mr. G has gone nuts making smoothies. We have more bananas than you can shake a stick at. Did I seriously just say that?
