Last night G and I got our Christmas spirit on by seeing Theatre in the Park's A Christmas Carol (featuring Ira David Wood III and IV) - this is it's 38th year. I have seen this show probably 6-8 times before. But, each year it's special, fun and SO entertaining. And, different. You have to listen closely for the reality TV, political and local jokes that get thrown in. There's still shows left in Raleigh and in Durham...you won't regret going. For the record, if you are pregnant and weepy (like me) - the first sight of Tiny Tim with Bob Cratchit, you'll almost start crying like a baby. Seriously - I was so emotional it was almost embarrassing. And at the end when Scrooge (IDWIII) picks up Tiny Tim, I almost lost it.
The last couple of years we saw Straight No Chaser...they are awesome! If you EVER get a chance to see their Christmas show...Go! Unfortunately, they aren't coming to Raleigh this year...but, here's a video of them doing O Holy Night - Jerome (lead) is amazing:
But they aren't all Christmas...
They make the young girl-boy band-lover in me come alive!
