Remembering.

I had Friday off - a day to use since I can't take time between Christmas and New Year (station is hosting the Holiday Invitational - it's kinda a big deal). So, I did laundry, laid around, ran to the bank and picked up lunch.

Around noon I turn on the news and see the horrifying alert - kids have been shot. I can't tell you how this made me feel. I know our child isn't actually here yet - but, I couldn't help but think "what if this happened to me?" - I think every parents worst fear is outliving their child(ren)- no matter how old your children are. But, especially when they are so small - when they haven't had a first date, driven a car, gone to college - haven't had a locker to visit between classes, haven't been able to watch a PG-13 movie. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Over the weekend I have thought about those families who lost children, sisters, brothers, cousins, grandchildren, friends - and, prayed that God will comfort them. And, although we'll never understand why this happened, we have to trust that God will see us through it. (much easier said than done). And, let us all remember the sweet children and the adults who lost their lives at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Third Day - Cry Out to Jesus
There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
Love for the broken heart
There is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus
