Thankful.

Since Thanksgiving is coming our way - I thought I would just take this time to tell you how thankful I am.

First, I am very thankful for a God who thought enough about me to send His son to die for my sins. I can't imagine going through life without His peace and the blessed assurance He provides me with. And, like The Waiting says: "You know the hairs on my head, yeah You named every star, but I'm bowing my knee at how forgetful You are".

Second, I am thankful for a great husband. One who is always there - even on days I wish he were off playing golf - just kidding! I am a better person because of him and I don't know how I got so lucky for God to provide me with such an awesome person to share this ride with. And, in this same category, I am so thankful for this baby on the way that God has blessed Greg and I with - everyday I am not sure I could thank God enough for providing us with the opportunity to be parents.

Third, I am thankful for our family. Not just our parents and siblings, but all the rest of you. Cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. I know that if we need anything, there is a long line of family who would be right there to come to the rescue.

Fourth, I am thankful for our church friends family. Over the past year and half they have made Greg and I feel welcome and have become so much more than the people we see on Wednesdays and Sundays. What a blessing it is to know people who share your faith and are praying for you. And, on top of that, we have so much fun with them!

Fifth, I am thankful for our friends. You know the ones - the ones where you could go months without talking, but when you do, you pick right back up where you left off. The ones who always know the right thing to say and have your back.

And, sixth, in one lumped group: I am thankful for our jobs, our health, this wonderful country and the everyday freedoms and advantages we have that we don't even realize or that we lose sight of.

There is so much to be thankful for - not just today, or on Thanksgiving, but everyday. Wishing you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving.
