So, Catfish is basically a show that takes a person who is dating someone online, long distance, and introduces the two of them in real life. Except in most cases...the person they are expecting to meet isn't actually who they've been pretending to be. SHOCKER. I KNOW. But, it's very entertaining and the show is based off the documentary by Nev Schulman who experienced this first hand - which I can't wait to get my hands on. The girl he thought he was dating - and was in love with - was actually not at all who she had led him to believe she was.
The first episode, Sunny & Jamison, is crazy. Plus, you'll see how some people will just believe anything someone tells them on the Internet. Sad. So, so sad. And hello, it's 2012 - there is skype and facetime. One would think these blindsiders would be getting caught early on due to the new technology we have.
Anyway - my DVR is set to record all of them now and in other news Teen Mom 2 has returned - yes!
