Memorial Day Weekend 2012

Weekend Recap:

It was a perfect weekend at the Lane house. We really needed a three day weekend. Lucky for us, we really didn't have anything planned - this NEVER happens. Friday I got home around 5 and we went for a walk at Sam's Branch Greenway. To walk "to the bridge and back" it takes about an hour and 15 minutes (about 4 miles). We got home, grilled steaks and baked sweet potatoes. Saturday we slept till about 8:30...yay! We finally got up, got ready and went out for breakfast at The Flying Biscuit in Cameron Village.

The food was great and I walked past the Bargain Box and saw everything was 50% off. G is not much on consignment shop shopping but lucky for me, I found a dress and two skirts.
Dress - The Limited, Beige Skirt - Banana Republic, Black Skirt - J Crew.
Total Spent = $14.40
Then we went to the flea market and Home Goods. We got home and were pretty lazy until about 5. We got cleaned up and went to dinner at Rey's.

It was fabulous. Sunday: Sunday School, Church, lunch at Chili's, a visit with grandma, grocery store and Redbox. (The Iron Lady & We Bought a Zoo = both were super). Monday we ate breakfast at home and finally made it back to the greenway around 11:30. Subway for lunch, lazy afternoon watched a LOT of Lifetime movies, cleaned the house, did some laundry and then fixed dinner.

After dinner - The Bachelorette. Is it just me or do these guys become bigger losers as the show goes on? Maybe ABC picks creepers on purpose. As far as the world of creepers goes, they are probably pretty easy to find.
My picks: Sean & Charlie. They seem the most normal and just seem really nice in general.

Who I think should be sent home next: Ryan. This guy is a TOTAL d-bag. He thinks he is better than everyone else - and that hair is getting on my nerves. He's a pro sports trainer (whatever that means...when they showed him at work he was playing tag with children in a gym) and he is convinced that he and Emily have a "special connection"...seriously? Everyone there thinks that.

One final thing about last night's show...did you catch that Alessandro said he was a gypsy?! And that he dated his third cousin? That really happened...I could make that up, but I totally didn't. Is it sad that I hope he ends up on TLC's My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding?
