The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Well, just the good, good and ugly.

Yesterday was very eventful. I had to present two of the scholarship winners at their awards at Senior Award Day at my old high school Wake Forest-Rolesville High. Boy, have things changed there. There is now 3 more LARGE buildings attached and also a parking deck - seriously? It was a fun seeing the two students get their awards and it just brought back A LOT of memories from that time. I remember taking gym class in that very gym - well, I remember gossiping with girls in that gym during gym class while the boys did really sporty things. This was GOOD number one.

Afterwards I was heading into work and not even a mile from the high school I get pulled over and get my FIRST speeding ticket. Y'all...I was so mad at myself and it was just awful because I was going down a hill - and I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. And, I have driven 10 years without one of these. Not to mention the officer was a pretty big jerk. Did I cry? No. But I wanted to. And I did when I got on the phone with G. Why? I don't know because I am a girl, duh. This was UGLY. Really UGLY.

What I looked liked when I called Greg. Except my dress wasn't this fancy and I was in my car.

After work I went with my girlfriend, Rachel, to shop for shampoo. We have become what other girls might describe as 'shampoo snobs'. Lucky for me, Rachel has this special/magical/really cool card that she uses at beauty supply stores (that only stylists can shop at). So, I am getting top of the line shampoo for just a little bit more than drug-store shampoo. She can also buy good hair brushes, Essie/OPI Nail Polish and other cool stuff for up to 40% off the retail prices. We go once or twice a month and buy stuff we don't really need think looks cool. Yesterday I got:

One liter of Redkin Full Body shampoo - $14 (retail: $23.50)
One large Pureology Hairspray - $13 (retail: $26.00)
Blow out cream/Protein Spray by Alterna - $19 ($30.00)

This my friends is GOOD. And I mean, REALLY GOOD. The shampoo is great. It's so affordable and lasts so long that I even told G he could use is. (He usually is banned to the not-so-great stuff). And now, Rachel and I feel like we HAVE TO HAVE the shampoo/conditioner from Pureology - so next time, we're getting that. After shopping to fulfill our shampoo snobby needs we went to Tribeca Tavern and ate burgers. It was great - if you haven't been there you should go. Thankful that Rachel is my friend. And not just because she has the hook-up at the beauty store - I promise.

Here's to a good long weekend!
