Here's to the teachers!

ONE.
This week was Teacher Appreciation Week. We are so thankful for Will's teachers...and the actual center itself. We feel very blessed to have found a place where they honor the Bible and think that learning about the love of Christ is just as important as ABCs or Old McDonald. As a working mom, I know that Will is well taken care of and loved on each day. And, Will loves being there. He wants to get down each morning and play (and hug his girlfriend, Emma). Each day this week there was a "theme" for gifts at Will's school (Monday: Flower Day, Tuesday: Candy Day, Wednesday: A note of appreciation Day, Thursday: Favorite Drink Day and Friday: Favorite Food Day). So, Monday I made a bouquet of flower pens (ball point stick pens, floral tape and some artificial flowers) since we had just given them each an Easter Lilly at the Easter party. On Tuesday, I took mason jars and filled them with miniature candy bars, star-bursts and Hersey kisses. Then put a cute cupcake wrapper on top of the jar and put a ribbon on there. We wrote notes on Wednesday (not pictured) and on Thursday I bought $1 store mugs and filled with instant hot and cold coffee, tea bags, Kashi bars and creamer packets. And for today, we wrote note cards with CFA gift cards. Total Spent - $60. I say this is a win for three teachers. :)

TWO.

My five samples from Warby Parker came...the packaging is super cute and I really liked them! Although, there are 5 others I want to try. So, I shipped the first 5 back and when they receive those they will mail my new five. The process is super easy and each email I've gotten from them has been fun, upbeat and you can tell the people who work here really like it. I should mention that Will LOVED me trying on the frames and then putting them on him...he would just laugh and then yank them off. (I quickly had to take them from him since I was afraid he'd break them and I'd have to purchase). My favorite pair of the 5 was G's least favorite...he told me I looked like Harry Potter. Which I took as a compliment. ;-)

THREE.
No photo to go along with this, but on Wednesday I had lunch with Caroline who is expecting her first baby (a boy) in less than three weeks! She looked awesome and I can't wait for her to have her little guy in her arms and to meet him! :)

FOUR.

This past Saturday, Will and I cooked together - he had a blast playing with old pots and pans. Not to mention he played outside for almost an hour. He's so busy and curious about everything. And, he's getting huge. Those pants are 12 months and at least 2 inches too short. Boys can wear cropped pants, right? Ha!

FIVE.
Wednesday night I attended VBS training. G and I have helped with VBS for two summers now and this summer (in about 6 weeks) we'll help with our 3rd. The theme is a "spy" theme...it's really cute. I am helping in the 3rd grade class and G will be helping with recreation. Last year I helped with the nursery (that was just for VBS workers) since Will was so small. Should be fun!
