ONE.
When I picked Will up on Wednesday, his teacher said he had been really fussy...and I could tell. His little face was red and eyes were puffy. However, he seemed in good spirits when we left and we proceeded to pick up Greg at the house to head to church for a dinner (fundraiser for a family adopting from the Ukraine) - and after Will had eaten, he became Mr. Fussy Pants. He cried the whole way home and then for almost 20 more minutes in the house....he was cuddly (which never happens) and hated the bath (also, never happens). So, he went to bed at 8pm and was up at 11...which usually means he's sick. Little guy had a rough night of sleeping on and off, started to run a low-grade fever and in the morning was fussy and clingy. So, we visited the doctor who checked his ears and told us it was probably his molars bothering him or possibly a reaction from his shots last Friday. Apparently they can cause fussiness and fever up to 10 days after the shots. Bless his heart. So, he had a hooky day with me yesterday (Thursday).
TWO.
We took Will to the park for the first of many times this past Saturday! It was a beautiful day and he would have let us push him on the swing for an hour.
THREE.
So, it's official...Will can stand up on his own. This began yesterday (Thursday)...sitting in the middle of the room with nothing to use but himself and he's got it down. I have a feeling our little stepper will be an official full-time walker soon!
FOUR.
Friday night G and I had a date night! We celebrated our engagement anniversary by going to the Melting Pot for dinner. Then things got really hot and heavy...we went to Target by ourselves! Yes, we know how to live it up, don't we? Hey - we needed milk and it was the perfect opportunity to grab it. And, the Wolfpack won their game that night (but lost the next day)...but that got them dancing in the NCAA tourney! Then they lost last night. BOO.
FIVE.
Food for toddlers...I can't believe I just used "toddler". I need some ideas for food for Will. He gets a great variety of meat/fruits/veggies at daycare and seems to eat great there. Maybe it's because he's sitting AT A TABLE (no more high chair!) and the rest of the kids are eating...or, he hates our cooking. His favorites with us are grilled chicken, deli meat (turkey or ham) and cheerios. I found this Banana Bread mix at Trader Joe's and made it, and he loved it! (Yay for a new breakfast food!). Yes, he'll eat the Organic pouches of fruit/veggie combos, but we'd like for him to start eating what we eat. So, any suggestions would be appreciated!
