More baby stuff I love.

Thought I would do another short list of things we have come to like recently. Let me know what you like - I'm always looking for good baby things!

Baby Aquaphor. Oh my gosh. This stuff rocks. So, we try not to give Will a bath every night. It drys his skin out and he has pretty dry skin (which is crazy since his mom and dad have such oily skin). So, each night, regardless of a bath or not, Will gets some destin diaper cream on his bottom (even if there is no rash). I only use a tiny bit - just enough to make sure he doesn't get any sort of rash through the night wearing his diaper longer than he does during the day. THEN, I take Aquaphor and put it in the creases of legs (his rolls for lack of a better name) and the insides of his legs. It's like Vaseline, but not as wet or greasy. It doesn't have a smell - and it just helps with dryness. Love this stuff. Don't get the small tube, get this big container.

This Graco Slumber Machine is wonderful. We turn it on if Will wakes up before he should be fed during the night and it puts him right back to sleep. There are several "white noise" sounds and even some music. And, the top pushes down to be a night light. It's pretty small so it doesn't take up much room. Love it.

This Nuby teether ring is pretty great. Will has just started to hold an item and bring it to his mouth. We think he's teething (because he drools, bites his fingers and hands and seems to love chewing on this thing) but we know that a tooth could still be far into his future. This thing isn't too heavy, but has enough weight on it to probably feel pretty good on his gums.

EEK! So, a friend had these labels on her son's bottles. And, they are AWESOME. They are vinyl and were super easy to apply. We did Will's initials and put them on his large Tommee Tippees. These will come in handy when he's at daycare for sure. We still have the InchBug Orbit Labels but the monograms are so much more fun! :) You can find them on Etsy at the shop YouGotPersonal. Super cheap and they shipped to me in less than a week.

Merlin's Magic SleepSuit. Well...I'm not sure if it's magic - but we started using this last Saturday night. Greg and I were both convinced that it would be a bust and we'd have to feed Will earlier than he had been eating during the middle of the night and then swaddle him. But - to our surprise, he slept as if he had been swaddled! He didn't do any "better" but he certainly didn't sleep any worse! So, it's been great! Plus, not having to wrap him up is saving us some time, too...especially during the middle of the night. He doesn't fall asleep as quickly as he did being swaddled, but it's still pretty darn fast. Plus, he likes the suit! He smiles as soon as you put him in it. Hoping we can transition him to just a sleep sack or PJs by 6-7 months pretty easily! I ordered the larger size - even though it seems a bit big on him (he looks like an Eskimo) - and we got the yellow. We just couldn't do that blue. Go Pack!
