There I said it. I have lots of anxiety about leaving Will for the first time with someone other than just Greg. Yes - even our parents. It's not because I don't trust them. I just have anxiety that something will go wrong and I'm not there to have some sort of control. I know. It's crazy. And hopefully it'll get better. Especially since I only have two weeks left of maternity leave. So, keep me in your prayers!
Another thing I have anxiety about...moving Will to his room/crib. Currently he sleeps right next to my side of the bed in his bassinet. Which, he isn't too long for (yet) - but he likes to stretch out his arms while he sleeps (the kid showed us he was Houdini when it comes to swaddling because he HATES his arms being in) and he has more room to do that in the crib. In the bassinet he hits his arms and hands on the sides of the bassinet. So, one of the only items we didn't get from our showers was the video monitor - so last week I went to Babies R Us and purchased it (it was 20% off, I had a $25 coupon off of a $100 or more purchase and I had $15 in rewards. So, I got this monitor for less than $100 - which is a steal!). And it works great. The screen is 5 inches - which is awesome and the picture is super clear. So, as a baby step in the process, we put Will down on Saturday night around 8pm after his feeding our room, in the bassinet. We stayed up like big kids. Don't worry. I watched the monitor the whole time practically and even made G go back there 3 times to make sure he was okay (in case the picture froze or something). He woke up around 11 and we fed him, put him down in the bassinet and went to bed.
This morning, Will woke at 5:45...fed him at 6 and at 6:40 I put him in his crib with the video monitor ready to rock and roll. He moved around and looked around for about 30 minutes then slept till 8am. So...one night - soon - I'll have to bite the bullet and put him back there.
Pray for me! I am sure this anxiety goes away a bit - or these things just get easier - if they don't...well, don't tell me! :) He is growing up too fast already.
