37 Weeks

Here we are. 21 days till the due date. Baby Lane Watch has officially started at our house.  I can't help but think every small pain or discomfort is the start of labor. Greg is sitting on the edge of his seat, too. Each time I call him he first says "is everything okay?" and each time I get up to pee at night (which I think is now 3 to  4 times) he says "are you alright?". I think I have started to have braxton hicks - which isn't too painful - just tightening. However, still feeling good overall.

We had a nice weekend - G and I went and did some shopping for baby's room. We got more baskets, a bookshelf and we even got a new bookshelf for the living room. We ran to the mall (that's two Saturdays in a row!) and did some shopping and had lunch in the food court. I noticed my rings were a bit tight while at the mall so I had to take them off. Looks like some swelling may be setting in. We made it home around 2, got some pork started in the crock pot and then Mr. G got to work with the new bookshelves. We organized baby's room a bit more (the closet and underneath the sink in baby's bathroom) and then watched some TV and enjoyed dinner.

Sunday we went to Sunday School and church and then had lunch with my family for Dad's birthday. It was nice to spend some time with all of them and my grandma - we haven't seen her in a few Sundays with all of our showers.

Sunday evening I spent over an hour writing thank-you notes from shower #2. I finished shower #1 thank-yous really quickly. G went out of town for a few days after that shower and each evening I watched junk TV and wrote 8-10 thank-yous. Thank-yous for shower #2 are very overwhelming...there are 56 to write. Yep - you read that correctly. We are over joyed by the love shown for us and baby by our church family- but whew...that's a lot of thank-yous. And the gifts keep coming...we got two more on Sunday from people that weren't able to make it! Not to mention there are two more sets to go. Hoping I can finish shower #2 and #3 this week by Saturday's mail pick-up. So far I am halfway through shower #2 - so wish me luck! And, if we have baby boy before all of these get written, please forgive me in advance!
