So we had a check up yesterday at the doctor's office...BP, weight, heart rate check and some questions. We were there maybe 15 minutes.
One more pound and I will officially be 30 pounds over the starting line (according to the doctor's scale - which is the one I go by). My goal was to only gain about 35 pounds total if at all possible, so - we'll see if I can make it!
Baby boy's heart rate was 142 - he kept moving around so it took a little bit of time to get him still long enough to get a good reading. He doesn't seem to like pressure on his hut that he currently resides in. And, the "hut" is measuring at exactly 34 as it should.
We go back in two weeks and we'll check baby's position. I also gave my FMLA paperwork for leave to the front desk so that I can pick it up at our next visit...can't believe I'll be turning that in to HR - things are getting serious guys. Did I mention we unpacked the car seat? Yeah - we need some practice on how to unhook the carrier from the base - we're first timers and this is way more complex than you'd think.
Here's to baby being head down in two weeks - and him wanting to hang out inside of me for 6 more weeks!
You're doing great! I'm hoping to stay right at the 35 mark too.
ReplyDeleteWhen I went in to have Jack, as soon as I got into L&D, they loaded me onto this Biggest Loser type scale. It was HUGE. The only thing missing was the giant screen to flash my weight numbers on. I was NOT expecting that!
And you will be snapping that seat in and out of the car like a pro in no time. My maternity leave with Jack was like a paid vacation. We got out all the time and really soaked up the fun. This is the perfect time of year to have a baby with sickness clearing up and good weather on the way!
