28 Weeks - Christmas

So, it's now the day after Christmas and we hope you had a fantastic day celebrating the birth of Jesus! We saw lots of family, ate a lot of great food and enjoyed each others company since this is our last Christmas with just the two of us.

I'm in the home stretch now - the glorious third trimester. And with that has come nesting, being pretty tired and it's officially hard to get off the couch once I've been lying down. Can't believe there is only 12 weeks to go (possibly less, possibly more)!

We spent Christmas Eve day cleaning out the closet that will be in Baby Lane's nursery - and now, it's filling up fast with baby stuff. Baby Lane had a very good Christmas this year and he isn't even here yet to see it all!

We got up early this morning to head in for the glucose screening - the drink wasn't that bad. It was fruit punch flavor. I should know in a day or so about my results - fingers crossed I passed.

We returned at noon for the 3D ultrasound along with both sets of grandparents-to-be. Unfortunately, Baby Lane's face was pressed right up against my placenta (TMI?) - and we couldn't get a good shot of his sweet face. But we did see a foot that was right up against his face - which was so cute! And, we double checked on the 2D ultrasound...it's a boy! So, we'll get that room painted in the next two weeks and things will get real serious. We hope to get the crib up before the end of January - and since we received some Christmas money, Baby Lane's bedding will be ordered by the end of the week - and lucky us, Restoration Hardware Kids is running 20% off full price items! We're going back on Monday, 12/31 to try the 3D again - hopefully he'll be in a better position. The poor guy was on a sugar high for a bit this morning and was probably just napping away come 12 today.

Keep us in your prayers as baby is getting bigger - and we prepare to bring him home. We are so excited and feel so blessed to have such great family and friends supporting us!
