'Tis the season for pumpkins. And chili, too.

Weekend Recap:

Friday started the weekend off on the right foot. Our friend, Jessica, who goes to church with us, had her baby around 7am on Thursday morning. So, I stopped by to see this cute fella at lunch on Friday:

Brady Alexander Cochran - so sweet!
Friday night, G and I went out for Mexican and then for ice cream. You know, typical us. Saturday morning we hit the Farmer's Market pretty early - and by early I mean we were there before 10am. We got pumpkins and mums - and the house is officially ready for fall. Pictures to come later - I forgot to take them Saturday after G finished outside.

Then we went to G's favorite breakfast spot - Pam's.
G's breakfast: biscuits covered in gravy with hot sauce (barf), side of potatoes.
I did the french toast with a side of potatoes.
On Sunday we had Sunday School and Church - which was great. EXCEPT that we had a guy filling in for our pastor and he went REALLY long. And by REALLY long I mean he went almost 30 minutes over what we normally do. Which is usually not a problem. But, I was so uncomfortable sitting and really need to visit the ladies room (a whole bottle of water went down during Sunday School) - so, I felt like I was wiggling around a lot.

After church we ate lunch at Moe's, went grocery shopping and then cooked chili when we got home. I turned mine into chili mac - since I was really wanting some noodles. It was really good. We have tried a few recipes and this one may be a winner with some tweaks next time. I found the recipe here.

Hope you had a fantastic weekend, too!
