Running a bit behind. But it's okay - the Spice Girls performed!

Weekend Recap:

On Friday night G fixed steaks for supper. They were really good and it was nice to just lay around watching TV and not going out. On Saturday morning we rode out for breakfast at IHOP (I am a really big fan). And I had the following for breakfast:

Although, G ate the eggs. Let's face it. They are nasty. I had one piece of the bacon and half of the potatoes.

But these...these CINNA-STACK pancakes...I ate all of those.

After that large breakfast we walked around in Target and made a few purchases - one of which was a Swiffer Mop. Y'all...I was so excited for this thing. I mop usually twice a month (unless something spills) and I usually just use a sponge with Lysol spray and walk around and wipe up any stray messes. But, now....I can use this thing every weekend! I purchased a 50 count of the wet pads that go on it (Up & Up brand to save cash) and it works really well. You know you're getting old when things like this excite you.

You can put a dry cloth on it, too. How did I live without this?

Saturday night we went and ate with G's family since his cousin moves into college this weekend. It was nice to get together and have a good meal!

On Sunday, we went to Sunday School and Church, followed by a grocery trip to Super Walmart. We then went to Linwood Grill for game night/game lunch since our game night didn't happen in July. The food, games and company was perfect.

After that we got home and watched the closing ceremonies of the Olympics - some pretty good performances! But, the best of all...Spice Girls reunited! I remember getting my first CD in 5th grade. It was the Spice Girls CD. I listened to it on repeat and wished I was British. I also wanted to protest for Girl Power even though I didn't even know what that really was. Here's to those cute chicks still getting down!

Best CD ever.
