A hoe down, a lot of car riding and a lot of food.

Weekend Recap:

Our weekend started early Friday morning when we hit the road at 9am for Asheville. G's work was hosting family weekend. We stopped at Another Broken Egg in Durham for breakfast (AWESOME) - and then after several stops to potty or stretch we made it to Asheville around 3pm. We checked in a 4 to find two double beds (womp, womp) in our room - but the place (Crowne Plaza Asheville) was pretty nice. We went back down stairs at 5 to eat food, introduce ourselves to a lot of strangers and then watched a lot of people zip line. We called it a night around 8:30 and went up to our room and watched the Olympics until we fell asleep (in our little bed).

Getting close to Asheville.
Saturday morning we were up by 7:30, got cleaned up and we down for breakfast by 8:30 - then we went to downtown Asheville for coffee, window shopping, etc. Around 10:30 we were ready for another stop so we went to Biltmore Village where we shopped a little more and had lunch.
Lunch at Wayside Bar.
Cute pigs.
Art under the bridge downtown.
We went back to the hotel around 2:30 and napped/watched the Olympics before getting cleaned up for dinner. We made it downstairs for dinner around 6 where there was chicken, mac-n-cheese, brisket, slaw, etc. And, a live bluegrass band. The band was REALLY good - and the singer was also a square dance caller. So, we square danced, naturally. Actually G's boss encouraged us to participate and he didn't want to tell the boss "no". But, it was a lot of fun!

We hit the sack around 11 and left the hotel Sunday morning around 9:30 after breakfast. We stopped in Greensboro and had Olive Garden's soup/salad for lunch. And in Durham we stopped for a bathroom/fro-yo date. We finally got home around 4. I watched stuff off the DVR and G did P90X. Finally around 7 we were starved again so we ordered pizza.

It was a nice weekend - and other than the driving we were pretty lazy. We were glad we got to enjoy some cooler weather for the weekend!

P.S. I hope you're watching Big Brother. And if you are, I hope you're team Britney!
