Mother's Day Weekend

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms - I hope you had a super day/weekend/week! We had a pretty busy weekend ourselves that was kicked off on Friday evening by attending the Zac Brown Band concert - what an awesome, talented band they are! Although, we sat on the lawn (yuck). I have decided that I am a ticket snob. The lawn was full of drunk concert goers who probably couldn't have told you who was performing and G and I agreed that seats are the way to go. Maybe had we gotten there as soon as the gates opened and found a place near the bottom of the hill things would have been better. In the three hours we were on the lawn we saw two fights, lots of young couples showing way too much PDA, and we got asked if we had drugs. Seriously, do I look like a drug user? And if I do, do I look like a dealer? No.

Saturday evening we ate at my mom and dad's house with my mom's family. It was a great time and the food was good, too. I think it was the first time that many people have eaten together in their new house and I am pretty sure my mom really enjoyed entertaining all of us.

Sunday we went to Sunday School and Church. G's mom and dad joined us for church and lunch afterwards. There were 6 kids/babies dedicated that morning in the service and they were all dressed up and so sweet! So special for those mommies - especially the first time mommies. Lunch was great - we ate way too much and talked about our upcoming trip to Florida for Disney. Yep – count down for the vacation has officially started.

Afterwards we went to my grandma's house - where it was full of people waiting on grandma. I think at one point there were 18 of us at her house - but still no g-ma. She had gone to lunch with my aunt, cousin, 2nd cousin and her sweet new baby (3rd cousin). Yep - you read that right, 5 generations at lunch! How cool is that? Finally g-ma got there and she was so happy to see all of us. I think that's what mother's day is all about - just spending time with the ones you love.

Speaking of mothers...Sister Wives returned last night to TLC. I know they are weird crazy - and their beliefs are OUT OF THIS WORLD - but, y'all....I love this show! I can't stop watching it. They all seem like great moms and the kids seem so normal. Don't judge me.

Happy Mother's Day!
Poor Cody. He sure has to buy a lot of Mother's Day gifts.
