First Post

Well, it's Monday and I figured I'd start blogging. Okay, actually, this has been on the to-do-list for a while now. I have recently found some great blogs that I stalk read daily and they inspired me to start blogging myself. I don't know how serious this will become or if anyone will be interested in reading it - but, we'll give it a go.

This past weekend we were pretty busy. On Saturday our church (Wendell Baptist) hosted Operation In As Much. The day consists of members plugging into a group and providing some type of service to the community. Groups that you could help with included: build a ramp team, car wash team, yard work team, food service team, nursing home team, etc. Greg helped with the ramp team and they were featured on the news! I helped watch some of the small children whose parents were assisting on a team. The day was a success and I think everyone had a great time. Saturday evening we went out to dinner and then saw The Lucky One. I'm a sucker for anything Nicholas Sparks has done and I finally twisted Greg's arm enough to go. I recommend seeing it if you can!

Sunday was pretty typical - Sunday School and then church service. Afterwards, we went to lunch and grocery shopping. Later in the afternoon I went to visit my grandmother and other family in Clayton. I made a pit-stop at my aunt and uncle's house since there was a rumor that they had a new family member. A little background: Uncle Wade and Aunt Joyce (dad's brother and sister-in-law) took on the task of keeping Molly (mom and dad's dog) while their home was being built after the tornado. It was easy to tell that returning Molly to mom and dad was a difficult task. Well, they got the cutest puppy of their own now. A black lab that they named "Wally".

Wally - about 4 months old.
