It's a New Year

I can hardly believe that it's 2016. The last year has gone by fast and has been full of changes. I changed positions at work - and then left all together. Greg became Chairman of the Deacons at church. We lost a parent - so incredibly hard. Our little guy moved out of his crib into a toddler bed...and that's just to name a few.

We are thankful for the blessings we have been given, no matter where they fall on this timeline of life. We are grateful for the wonderful memories made - and know that the difficult ones bring learning and growing...and although we don't understand it, He does - and that has to be enough.

This year, on NYE, we took Will to his favorite dinner spot: Kanki - a hibachi steakhouse...dinner and a show. Then we stopped for ice cream on the way home. We were all in bed and asleep by 10. #parentlife

On NYD, we watched cartoons, read books, did some play-doh and cooked our first beef roast in the crock-pot. We didn't go anywhere. It was blissful.

I snapped a few photos of Greg with our little guy "shaving" on NYD night. I'm so thankful for these two...and the love they have for each other. And how Will wants to be just like his daddy - but still a Mama's boy. This year, I pray that we do less, love more and show compassion to others. Here's to 2016.
