Happy 8 months, Little Mister! You have grown up so much this past month! You are sitting so well - until you see something you want...then you get on all fours and rock. Then army crawl (and sometimes do the real crawl for 3-4 moves) to get what you want. Ironically, it's usually something you shouldn't have (i.e. the blinds, cell phone charger that's plugged up, the plant, etc.). You can almost sit yourself up on your own now, too. We put you down at one end of the crib and you wake up at the other - you're always on the move.
You "growl" sometimes - it's creepy and cute all at the same time. You really know your name and turn to look at us when we say it. You started eating three meals a day and now you even eat "puffs" (that you pick up yourself and put in your mouth...TEAR!).
At your most recent doctor visit you weighed in just a little under 21 pounds and you are 29.25 inches long...that's 97th percentile for height and 80th for weight! We are about to transition you from the infant car seat to a convertible one (again...TEAR!).
Your sweet smile (now with two bottom teeth that poke out) is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. My two favorite change so far...you hold your arms out to be picked up when we walk by...seriously, I don't think I'll ever get tired of that. And you'll climb up in our laps when we're sitting on the floor...oh how it melts our hearts!
