Weekend Recap:
Friday I took half a day off to attend G's step-brother's vow renewal service. It was at Lake Gaston at 4pm so I went home, ate lunch, changed clothes and then we rode with G's parents to the service. We made it home around 7:30 or so - and both G and I were still a bit hungry since we weren't totally starved when we ate at 5:00. So, G went on a mission to get pizza. It was pouring down rain and he really didn't want to have to go get it. He called Domino's, Wendell Pizza and Papa John's of Zebulon and they all said they wouldn't deliver to us. BUMMER. But, G out smarted Papa John's and ordered online. It said they would deliver to us online and if they wouldn't we would get a call letting us know we were too far out. Well, what do you know. 45 minutes later we had pizza and cheese bread. Worth all $28 spent.
Saturday morning we got up, ate breakfast and watched a lot of the opening ceremony of the Olympics since we missed it on Friday evening. So good! Then we decided to go eat lunch at McAlister's in North Hills and catch the 1:30 showing of The Dark Knight Rises - great movie. We then grabbed a milkshake from CFA - score. We got home, watched more Olympics and ate the remaining pizza/cheese bread for dinner.
Sunday we went to Sunday School and church. We ate lunch at Chili's with my brother and his girlfriend and then we visited my g-ma. My brother brought Molly over to my Uncle's house to meet Wally. So, we rode over there to see how they interacted.
Molly (left) didn't want anything to do with Wally (right). She was avoiding him at all costs. She isn't interested in other dogs. What can I say? Maybe Wally just wasn't her type?
We made it home at a decent time so I watched the Women's Synchronized Diving competition. One of the two U.S. divers is a diver from Duke which is pretty darn cool. We haven't received a medal in this event in 12 years and the U.S. team won Silver! They hugged and cried and I teared up. I was so wrapped up in it!
Before watching the women's gymnastics I ate squash for supper - yes - baked squash and watched Big Brother. So. Good. What a great weekend :)
