Vacation Bible School week

Sunday kicked off VBS at Wendell Baptist Church. I helped teach the 2nd grade class (kids moving up to 3rd grade) and G helped with Recreation. The kids had a great time. They were all so excited to be there every night and my class was pretty well behaved. Here are a few photos:

There was a lot of dancing and rocking out in Worship Rally each night.
Craft time was a huge hit. Kids love them some crafts.
Kids also love to volunteer to show off on stage - they are total rock stars.
Each night the kids brought money (coins) for the buckets for donations for missions. It was girls v. boys. If the boys won, Pastor Jeremy (pictured right with the Texas A & M shirt), would get a pie in the face and if the girls won, youth pastor Zach (pictured left), would get a pie in the face.
The difference was $3.00 - so they both got creamed.
Almost 100 kids came out each night for VBS - and lots of them learned about Jesus for the first time. It was so sweet to see them so excited about Jesus - and about people getting pies in their face.
